Jurgen Klopp confirms Dominik Szoboszlai’s injury

Just after the hour mark Klopp made a triple change with Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz and Dominik Szoboszlai going off the pitch.

Szoboszlai went off on the far side away from the bench and walked slowly around holding his hamstring.

Klopp has confirmed that he has indeed suffered an injury.

In the post-match press conference he said: “We wanted to take him off, that was the plan.

“Unfortunately it was a minute late. He felt his hamstring and we don’t know the extent.”

Liverpool will now have to wait and see how bad his injury is just when it seemed that the Reds were getting over a lot of injury issues.

The one positive for Klopp will be that he knows he has Harvey Elliott that he can rely on to play in that position but Szoboszlai has been a key man for him during this campaign.
