Federico Redondo has been linked with European giants Real Madrid and Liverpool as well as Manchester United.
The Argentina Under-23 midfielder has enjoyed a fine season for domestic club Argentinos Junior.
This is according to TEAMtalk, who note the 20-year-old as having exceptional vision, ball control, and positional skills.
Furthermore, Redondo has shown ‘maturity and consistency’ for his club this season, earmarking him as a candidate for top European clubs.
His outstanding exploits in the local league have elevated him to the status of one of South American football’s most talked-about prospects.
The 20-year-old made 58 appearances for his side this past South American campaign (which ended in December).
How much would Federico Redondo cost?
It is believed that the talented defensive midfielder could cost as little £8million in the winter transfer window.
However, Real Madrid are thought to heavily interested in the player, and would match their recruitment policy of bagging the brightest talents in football before they become too expensive.
Los Blancos showcased this strategy when acquiring the likes of Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, and Federico Valverde.
All of these players were brought in from South America straight to the Spanish capital.
Redondo has already made 4 caps for Argentina’s U23 side and looks to have a bright future with the national side.
Crucially, a move for the player could materialize this month as he reportedly is keen to take the next step in his career.
