Liverpool have already recalled few players who were out on loan for the first half of the season, including the likes of Fabio Carvalho and Owen Beck.
The latest Red to return is 20-year-old James Balagizi according to liverpoolfc.com.
He has been recalled from his loan spell with Wigan Athletic.
The 20-year-old made seven appearances for the League One side, and recently signed a new contract before he made the move to Wigan.
Balagizi has been a Liverpool player since his time with the U11s in the academy.
He was on loan at Crawley Town last season, but unfortunately an undisclosed injury ended his season prematurely.
Former Crawley Town manager Kevin Betsy, whom Balagizi also played under for the England U18’s, singled out Balagizi as an “excellent player” back in 2022.
However, much of Balagizi’s time at Wigan was disrupted by a hamstring injury that kept him out of contention for matchday squads.
This hamstring injury was picked up in late November, meaning that Liverpool have now pulled the plug on the loan deal due to the injury.
