Liverpool will travel to face Arsenal at the Emirates for the third-round of the FA Cup.
It will be the second time the two clubs face each other this season after the 1-1 stalemate at Anfield in December.
The Reds go into the match in better form with Mikel Arteta’s men losing two consecutive games in the Premier League.
However, the London club have won each of their last three FA Cup meetings with Liverpool.
Additionally, Mikel Arteta’s will have the added advantage of playing at home, where their record has been (for the most part) strong this season.
Youngsters in training ahead the FA Cup
Journalist Jack Lusby has reported that 16-year-old Trey Nyoni trained with the first team this afternoon.
The talented midfielder joined Anfield in the recent summer transfer window, having been headhunted from Leicester City’s academy.
His performances since then have been eye-catching.
Operating in midfield, he is not goal shy and has scored 3 goals in for 4 appearances in the U18 Premier League.
He has also scored in various youth cups and continental competitions.
Nyoni is a midfielder who qualifies to play for both England and Zimbabwe, and it will be interesting to see who he chooses to represent as he develops.
Other youngsters such as Owen Beck, Conor Bradley, Kaide Gordon, Bobby Clark, Luke Chambers and James McConnell were also spotted.
