Liverpool recalled Fabio Carvalho at the start of the January transfer window after initially loaning him at to the Bundesliga.

The attacking midfielder joined the club in the summer of 2022 and started the season well for The Reds scoring two goals in his first five league games.

He was often used in the first half of the campaign but in the second part, he fell down the pecking order hence why at the start of this season he was loaned out.

RB Leipzig was the side that Liverpool thought would be the ideal destination for Carvalho to progress his development.

However, it didn’t work out as he only played nine league games accumulating 158 minutes of action so now the club are seeking a new loan for him.

Fabrizio Romano names the club who want Fabio Carvalho

According to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano, several clubs are eager to take Carvalho for the second half of the campaign.

From the Championship Southampton, Hull City and Leeds United are all pushing to sign him as they all look to fight for promotion to the Premier League.

The one side from the Premier League who are trying their upmost to bring him in are Wolves however they need to guarantee him game time otherwise Liverpool will look elsewhere.

Wolves are missing Hwang Hee-Chan due to the Asia Cup so he would be adequate cover in the frontline for him but when he returns it may be difficult for Carvalho to get in the front free which when all fit is Hwang, Matheus Cunha and Pedro Neto.

As well as them Gary O’Neil has Pablo Sarabia and Sasa Kalajdzic as other options for the frontline.

So it may make sense for Carvalho to go to a Championship side as he flourished in the second tier at Fulham.

In 36 appearances in the second tier he scored ten goals and got eight assists so it would be good if he were to recapture that form.
