Jordan Henderson is reportedly not satisfied with his situation in Saudi Arabia and could be on his way back to Europe soon.

Having spent around six months with Steven Gerrard at Al Ettifaq, Henderson is disillusioned with the way things have turned out in the Middle East.

Now, after just halfway through the campaign Henderson now wants to leave the Middle East according to several reports.

He has played 19 games in all competitions and has got five assists but is yet to get his first goal for the club.

After offering himself to Bayern Munich and Bayern Leverkusen, there may be some respite for the ex-Liverpool skipper.

Fabrizio Romano has now reported that Dutch giants Ajax have shown concrete interest in Jordan Henderson.

The Italian transfer specialist reports:

“Ajax are showing concrete interest in signing Jordan Henderson in case he’ll get green light to leave Al Ettifaq in January transfer window.”

“There are several clubs keen, waiting for Saudi club decision — but Henderson is looking for options and Ajax are there.”

Henderson reportedly wants to leave the Saudi Arabian club because he dislikes the country’s weather and way of life and is dismayed by the poor attendance at games.

Al-Ettifaq has not been won a game since October, so Henderson’s spirits would not have been boosted by his team’s dismal performance.

Gerrard remains committed to assembling the team around the Premier League winner, and Henderson has not yet submitted a transfer request.

In other news, Rio Ferdinand believes Liverpool newcomer is being overrated.
