Wataru Endo shows classy gesture while partaking in Japan gameshow

Wataru Endo was busy over the summer break it seems with news emerging of his class while taking part in a Japanese game show.

It seems that Wataru Endo was quite busy during his summer break despite having Asian World Cup qualifiers to play when the 2023/24 campaign ended in May.

By now, all Liverpool fans know how classy the Japan international is.

Joining the club in August 2023 from VfB Stuttgart, Endo quickly adapted to the demands of the Premier League, despite the initial surprise among fans about his signing.

Endo made a total of 43 appearances across all competitions, contributing three goals and one assist.

His primary role was as a defensive midfielder, although he occasionally adapted to other positions as needed.

He played 29 matches in the Premier League, amassing 1,720 minutes, and also featured prominently in the Europa League and domestic cup competitions.

Despite his solid performances, there are ongoing discussions about whether Liverpool should seek a younger, long-term replacement for Endo.

At 31, Endo’s role is seen as a temporary solution, and the club might need to invest in a younger defensive midfielder to ensure sustained success.

The need for a fresher, more dynamic presence in midfield is evidenced by David Ornstein’s recent report stating that the Anfield hierarchy are already in the process of acquiring another No.6.

But it seems that the Japan international did not let the transfer speculation get to his head over the summer break.

Wataru Endo takes part in charity drive during Japan game show

Endo took part in a Japanese gameshow during his summer vacation, with one challenge being that he had to control a ball dropped from a drone hovering 35 meters in the air.

This is difficult enough as is, but the conditions on the day were said to very windy, adding a layer of difficulty to the task.

Nevertheless, Endo prevailed in the 11-meters per second wind, and won a cash prize for his efforts.

But ever classy, Endo donated the prize money to children, presumably the ones captured in the video below.

You can even see him embracing all of the onlooking kids.

The Japan international has been a class act ever since he has signed for the club, and this is another example of his enormous character.

Whatever happens with Endo this summer, he has almost become a cult hero in one season, and some of his performances in Jurgen Klopp’s final season will not be forgotten in a hurry.
