The talented youngster is set to head to the Championship to gain some vital first team football.

Arne Slot is continuing to trim his squad ahead of the new season.

The Liverpool boss is making some difficult decisions as he aims to have his squad fine tuned ahead of the new campaign.

After we exclusively revealed that Stefan Bajcetic will be allowed to leave on loan, it seems that another young Red is heading out too.

We can exclusively reveal that Kaide Gordon is close to agreeing a loan move to Swansea City.

The talented youngster is set to head to the Championship to gain some vital first team football.

Joining Liverpool from Derby County in 2021, the 20-year-old attacker is highly rated within the club.

Gordon has had injury issues over recent seasons and a run of games in a competitive league will serve him well.

Speaking to Liverpool FC on the US tour Gordon said, “It has been good, a different experience obviously with a new coach.

“But it’s good to get away with the lads and I’ve enjoyed it so far, it’s been good.

“It’s my first [pre-season] in two years I think. Obviously I’ve been out for a while so it’s just good to get back around it and get up to the rhythm, so I’m enjoying it.”

“You don’t realise when you’re in it, how much you miss it when you’re out of it, to be fair. Obviously it’s just good to be back involved in it, to be honest.”

Swansea will look to finalise the loan for Kaide Gordon in the coming days.

The Welsh side lost their opening Championship fixture to Middlesbrough 1-0.

Gordon is not the first player to move from Anfield to the Liberty Stadium on loan.

In the 2021-22 season, defender Rhys Williams spent some time on loan in Swansea. The loan spell didn’t go as expected and Williams returned back to Merseyside sooner than expected.

Both the club and Gordon will hope this loan will be more successful than that.
