Arne Slot will hold a press conference on Friday ahead as he prepares for his first Premier League game against Ipswich Town.
Not many will envy the Dutchman, who will likely be confronted with all manner of questions including the transfer strategy and the Martin Zubimendi saga.
Slot has generally come across well in press conferences so far, but he will have his work cut out ahead of the weekend.
The Reds boss will likely have to face questions about the slow summer transfer window.
Fans have been growing anxious as the club has yet to make significant signings, and the failure to attract Martin Zubimendi has only exacerbated these concerns.
He will also likely be questioned about Liverpool’s pursuit of Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.
Meanwhile, Ipswich Town, back in the topflight for the first time in 22 years, will be looking to make a strong impression after achieving back-to-back promotions under Kieran McKenna.
Known for their direct and aggressive style of play, Ipswich will be eager to use the energy of their home crowd and the magic of opening day to upset Liverpool.
When will Arne Slot be holding his pre-Ipswich press conference?
Arne Slot will address the media at the AXA Training Centre on Friday, with it scheduled to start at 9;30am BST.
You will be able to tune in on Liverpool’s official YouTube channel.
It will be his first competitive challenge as the Liverpool manager having won all but one of his pre-season friendlies in the past month and a bit.
Speaking to Canal+ ahead of the opener, Slot is relishing the challenge of his first competitive clash despite it being an unknown venture for him:
“The good thing is that also abroad and even in England, they play 11 v 11,” he said with a smile.
““In the rest of the world we drive on the left side, but in England they drive on the right! But in football, they just keep it with 11 v 11! So that’s a good thing! That’s not going to change.”
“The teams we face are different, the managers I face are different, but the same things apply.
“The week or the two weeks before you play the next opponent, you try to understand in the best possible way how they play and how you have to react on that.”
