The Georgian goalkeepers profile skyrocketed after an impressive Euros. It’s a bittersweet move for Liverpool fans with many suspecting that he is been signed ultimately to replace Alisson from next season.

The Brazilian goalkeeper continues to be linked with a future move to Saudi Arabia.

Earlier today, Radio Marca reported: “Liverpool’s interest in Giorgi Mamardashvili has intensified in the last few hours. Valencia want €40M. Liverpool have bid €35M. Liverpool will continue to try to get Valencia to accept. He is ‘closer than ever to joining Liverpool’.”

Further details of the transfer has now been reported by Héctor Gomez of tribunaVCF.

Bournemouth loan fee

The Valencia based reporter has stated that Bournemouth will pay a loan fee towards the move. Gomez reports that Liverpool are willing to bid a fee of €35M plus a fixed €5M in bonuses. He is set to join Bournemouth immediately.

Gomez suggests that Bournemouth are set to pay the difference in what Valencia will accept for the goalkeeper along with Liverpool’s fixed offer.

Gomez states: “The goalkeeper wants to leave and gain experience in the Premier League before moving to Liverpool.”
