Mac Allister – 6
Working his way back to full fitness and you could tell.
Got pressed and lost the ball in a dangerous position in the first half in a moment that could have defined the game. Was lucky that Arsenal didn’t make too much of it.
But aside from that, he was generally solid if unspectacular and tried to move the ball forward from the CDM position. Replaced on the hour mark.
Gakpo – 6
Not much to say here.
Didn’t look like he was in a position that suited him and played like that.
Having Gakpo and a recently returning Mac Allister start in midfield could have been the reason why Liverpool were overrun at times by Arsenal in the first half.
But he put in a shift, as he normally does, before being replaced at the same time as Mac Allister.
Jones – 7
Produced a piece of skill that was all over social media within minutes.
Even the commentators mentioned how he’s a certified first team player now.
Didn’t have the same impact as he had against Newcastle United recently, but his energy and craft in attacking positions almost had The Reds in a few times.
