What a game of football that was.

An evening that seemed to be one that would end frustratingly changed in the second half as Liverpool finally made their dominance count as they scored the goals that were eluding them in the first.

Two goals from Mohamed Sarah, one from Curtis Jones and another from Cody Gakpo were too much for a Newcastle United side who thought they were going to get a point thanks to goals from Aleksandar Isak and Sven Botman.

An xG of 7.2 for the home side is the highest on record for a Premier League game and shows just how dominant Jurgen Klopp’s were in the game.

The 3 points mean that Liverpool have stretched their lead at the top of the table to three points and will get fans starting to believe that the title could be returning to Anfield.
