Liverpool midfielder Fabio Carvalho is attracting interest from a Premier League club in the January transfer window, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The Portugal U-21 international returned to the Reds from his loan spell with RB Leipzig last week after struggling for regular playing time.
The 21-year-old joined the Bundesliga side on a season-long loan and racked up 15 games across all competitions, with most of his appearances coming as a substitute.
Several clubs are interested in signing Fabio Carvalho this winter and Romano has confirmed that Wolves have asked about the availability of the former Fulham star.
“Understand Wolves have asked for Fábio Carvalho on loan until the end of the season,” he posted.
“Top 6 Championship clubs have also asked for loan, waiting for Liverpool and player’s camp to decide for best option.
“#LFC want guaranteed game time for Fábio.”
It has been reported that Carvalho is likely to be loaned out again by the Reds because getting him playing time is key for the club as he’s unlikely to play for the Merseysiders again this season.
Carvalho joined Liverpool in the summer of 2022, however, struggled for regular playing time during his debut season at the club before joining Leipzig.
He made 21 appearances in all competitions and scored three goals in the process as Jurgen Klopp’s side finished 5th in the Premier League last term.
During his final season at Fulham, he scored 11 goals and registered eight assists in 38 matches across all competitions as Marco Silva’s side gained promotion to the Premier League.
