Manager Jurgen Klopp has provided the latest update on Dominik Szoboszlai.

The German has addressed the media ahead of the FA Cup third-round clash against Arsenal.

It will no doubt be a stern test to face Mikel Arteta’s men at the Emirates Stadium.

The Spaniard will likely name a strong side as Arsenal will only play Crystal Palace on January 20 after the Liverpool clash this weekend.

The clash is set to kick-off at 16:30 GMT on Sunday afternoon.

Speaking in his pre-Arsenal press conference, Jurgen Klopp provided an update on the fitness of Dominik Szoboszlai:

“It’s not a potential injury, it is an injury. Yeah [it’s] a muscle, hamstring injury but now we have to see.”

“Dom is very positive and he does not have a lot of pain, but we have to wait a little bit.

“No chance for Sunday [against Arsenal].”

“Not for Wednesday [against Fulham], and then we will see. After that, he might but we don’t know.”

It’s not the news we hoping for regarding the Hungarian.

With Wataru Endo and Mohamed Salah also not available, Jurgen Klopp will be lamenting the timing of the injury.

Nonetheless, Alexis Mac Allister is now back to help reinforce the midfield in the absence of Wataru Endo and Dominik Szoboszlai.

In other news, David Ornstein has been speaking about Liverpool’s transfer plans.
