In a strategic move, Liverpool have officially announced news in regard the future of 18-year-old winger, Lewis Koumas.

The vibrant youngster has been a name in the club since before his teens after coming in from Tranmere Rovers.

He made his first-team debut for the Reds as a starter in February.

In that match against Southampton in the FA Cup fifth round at Anfield, he scored to help the Reds progress to the next round.

The Welsh international featured for the U-18 and U-21 sides of the Merseyside club and made over a joint 36 appearances, raking in an impressive 22 goals and 10 assists.

The youngster who is yet to officially make his debut in the English Premier League indeed does have a lot of years ahead of him and the club which sees him as a future asset has made a move with his long-term development in mind.

What did Liverpool decide about Lewis Koumas?

An early post this morning on the club’s official X account showed that the youngster has signed a new long-term contract.

The post also confirmed that he has also completed a season-long loan move to Stoke City.

This was most likely done with his development in mind.

Stoke City will kick off their Championship campaign today as they face Coventry City at the Bet365 Stadium.
