Just over a week into the January transfer window, the rumours circulating Kylian Mbappe have, as they always are, been rife.
The future of the French superstar is often the hottest topic when the transfer window is open as him going to Spanish giants Real Madrid is one of the most anticipated transfers that hasn’t happened.
There were some reports about Liverpool also being to Mbappe’s liking and that his contract at PSG is up this year it seems like he could be on the move.
Following those rumours though it was reported that the 25-year-old has already agreed a deal to join Real Madrid but now there has been another update on his future.
Nasser Al-Khelaifi speaks about Kylian Mbappe
The PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has called for Mbappe to stay at the club with time running out for the forward to sign a new deal at the club.
He said: “Of course I want Kylian to stay, for sure. He is the best player in the world and the best club for Kylian is Paris.
“He is at the centre of everything.”
The PSG side was built around Mbappe in the summer as the club decided to part ways with two of the most famous players on the glove in Neymar and Lionel Messi.
Luis Enrique spent a lot of money and has so far just about done a decent enough job as they scraped through to the Champions League round of 16 whilst they are now top of Ligue 1 after slightly struggling at the start.
Mbappe has been their most important player hence why they are desperate to keep hold of him.
So far this season he has played 24 games in all competitions scoring 25 goals showcasing why he is one of the most sought after players on the planet.
