Liverpool have been linked to several players in the last month with a lot of anticipation for all the big sides due to the January transfer window.
The Reds had a hectic summer window due to a whole midfield rebuild but that has paid off for now as they sit top of the table.
After their dominant 4-2 win over Newcastle Jurgen Klopp has his side three points clear of Aston Villa who are in second place ahead of Manchester City.
Now the January window is open Liverpool will be scouting the market in case there are any opportunities that pop up.
It does appear though that they have distanced themselves from signing a few players.
Liverpool will not move for Joao Palhinha as well as two others
Reportedly Liverpool are not going to attempt to sign two midfielders that they were linked with in the summer as well as one defender who was recently linked.
Andre from Fluminense and Joao Palhinha from Fulham are the two players who were allegedly being tracked by Liverpool but they are no longer interested.
It appeared that Andre was a top target but at the moment it seems that Fulham are the most likeliest side from England to sign him.
He would be a replacement for Palhinha who is looking to secure a move away from Fulham but that won’t be to Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp has Thiago Alcantara and Stefan Bajcetic yet to come back from injury so even though Wataru Endo has gone to the Asian Cup with Japan he will still have options in midfield.
Bayer Leverkusen’s Piero Hincapie was a defender who was potentially on the cards for Liverpool but he is also someone who is not on their list.
The fact that there is a list could be exciting news for Liverpool supporters but it will depend on if their targets are available in January.
