Barcelona are reportedly back in for Luis Diaz after plenty of speculation earlier in the transfer window.
Diaz, who arrived from FC Porto for an initial fee of £37 million in 2022, still has three years left on his current contract.
Throughout the 2023/24 season, the Colombian featured in 51 matches, contributing to 18 goals (13 goals and five assists).
Despite Barcelona’s interest and the player’s known admiration for the Spanish giants, Díaz expressed his happiness at Liverpool and has shown no intention of pushing for a move.
Liverpool, however, has made it clear that any deal for Díaz would require a significant fee, with reports suggesting a valuation of around €87 million (£75 million).
Hansi Flick’s side have completed the signing of Dani Olmo, but it’s believed they still want a left-wing statement signing evidenced by their pursuit of Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams.
A key part of the Spain Euro 2024 squad, Williams has be0en courted by Barcelona this summer but was recently given the No.10 shirt, suggesting he would be staying.

What is the latest on Luis Diaz?
Spanish journalist Jose Alvarez for El Chiringuito has reported that Barcelona are back in for Luis Diaz.
It is reported that the Reds have set a price tag of around €75 million (£65 million), a figure that could prove difficult for the financially strained Catalan club to meet.
Players could be swapped to help both clubs make the deal happen financially and within the bounds of FFP.
Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco, is believed to be a big fan of Díaz signature, and the former Barca player has no doubt laid some groundwork behind the scenes.
Of course, the financial situation at the Camp Nou could be better, with tentative reports coming out that they are yet to register new signing Dani Olmo due to certain constraints.
Back in March, Luis Diaz’s father did not exactly fill Liverpool fans with confidence when speaking on the future of his son, saying:
“There was never anything serious with Real Madrid or Atlético.”
“Liverpool were always more determined and concrete to sign Luis”.
“We haven’t lost our hope yet…”. Luis is playing well and Spanish clubs are always active in the market”
