Liverpool’s summer business could end up being the most unpredictable among other clubs this season.

The Reds are yet to sign any senior player-the only Premier League club not to bring in a new signing.

With the transfer of Martin Zubimendi falling through, it seems that the wait for an incoming is set to continue.

Yet, they are being linked with several players, including Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.

Liverpool are considering the Georgian goalkeeper as a potential long term replacement for Alisson Becker.

The Valencia goalkeeper is reportedly keen on moving to Anfield, but he certainly won’t take Alisson’s place as Liverpool’s number one any time soon.

The Brazilian is among the best goalies in the world and should Liverpool sign Mamardashvili, there is little chance he will oust Alisson as Liverpool’s first choice between the sticks.

However, Liverpool are exploring the option in regards to a Giorgi Mamardashvili signing this summer.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Reds are seriously considering signing the Georgian international for a fee in excess of €30 million.

But given the competition for places, the Reds do not plan to keep the Valencia keeper at Anfield this summer.

After signing him, Arne Slot’s men plan to loan him out based on Romano’s insight.

However, Romano claims that the Red have not made a final decision on the matter, despite the player being open to the arrangement.

Perhaps Liverpool are having second thoughts about the deal due to their current options Alisson Becker and Caoimhin Kelleher.

The duo have proven to be among the best 1 and 2 in the English Premier League, so the goalkeeping department is not one Liverpool are weak in.

Yet, it seems that Liverpool are considering a move to ready themselves for the future should they lose either of their current goalkeepers.

The Reds are aware of Mamardashvilli’s quality and fear that if they don’t get him this summer, there is a chance that he will be unavailable next season, as Spanish giants Atletico Madrid are also keen on his services.
