Kylian Mbappe and his future still seems cloudy despite his contract expiring at the end of this season.
He has long since been courted by Real Madrid, although Liverpool have also been credited with an interest in the player.
Over the weekend, news broke that Mbappe had reportedly agreed a deal to join Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

Now his entourage has released a statement regarding their client’s future [via RMC Sport]:
“There is no agreement around Kylian’s future, especially since there are no discussions started about it, according to Kylian Mbappé’s entourage. No type of influence could also dictate the timing of Kylian’s discussion, reflection or decision.” Like two years ago, Kylian Mbappé remains the “master of the clocks.”
It would then seem he is no closer to joining Los Blancos despite reports claiming otherwise.
According to a report by Foot Mercato, Kylian Mbappe had agreed a deal to join Real Madrid at the end of this season when his contract runs out at PSG.
However, we can now safely infer that this not in the case, and that Mbappe is seemingly no closer to making a decision.
Liverpool will likely believe they still hold a small chance of signing the coveted Frenchman.
Liverpool’s point of view
However, as always, his immense wages will prove a big stumbling block for the Anfield club.
The Times reported that Mbappe was not happy with the manner in which Real Madrid went about signing him.
This led to suggestions that the 25-year-old was looking at a move to possibly the Premier League with Liverpool as one of the sides that he likes.
It is well known that the World Cup winner has a good chance of leaving the French capital this summer.
The uneasy relationship between Kylian Mbappe and PSG was well exhibited over the previous summer transfer window.
The Parisian club outcasted the French international over contract disputes, before reintegrating him back into the team ahead of the new season starting.
