West Ham United have won the race for one of the most talented youngsters playing in England right now.
The Hammers are looking to supply new head coach Julen Lopetegui with the tools to have a successful season.
Under David Moyes, West Ham won their first trophy since 1980 when they lifted the Europa Conference League in 2023.
And now they’re looking to move on with a potentially new mode of playing under their new coach.
Over the past few weeks, there have been speculation that linked Liverpool with Leeds United forward Crysencio Summerville.
Leeds were set to lose the talented 22-year-old having missed out on a chance to play top-tier English football following defeat in the Championship playoff final to Southampton 1-0.
Reports began swirling that Liverpool had begun to look into adding the versatile forward to their ranks following the appointment of fellow Dutchman Arne Slot.
Crysencio Summerville, who had an impressive season having scored 21 goals and delivered 10 assists in the 2023/24 campaign, was in high demand.
However, developments along the way suggested that the youngster was no longer Liverpool-bound.
It’s now clear as to why.
